Product managers own the development and success of a product, working with engineering, finance, marketing, and operations to ensure the viability and profitability of the product. The Product Management Certificate will prepare you for an exciting career at the intersection of technology, business, and design.
Product management positions are found in many industries, although the role varies from firm to firm. Product managers need both product and business expertise as they make strategic decisions beginning with the creation of new ideas for products and continuing with the formulation of the supply chain and marketing strategies, all in the context of ensuring a positive cash flow.
Product managers must be able to work on teams and must have the skills to influence individuals and organizations without authority over them.
The certificate requires 15 credit hours from the list of courses below (or alternative courses approved by the Kelley MBA program). Interested MBA students should talk to their academic advisor before January of their first year.
